
Ryedale in the northern part of the Vale of York used to be a major producer of Damsons, the domesticated cousin of the Sloe. We thought we’d honour this amazing and bountiful fruit by steeping it in our Hedgerow Gin, but to distinguish it from our other liqueurs we lowered the sugar levels to make a delightfully dry, liqueur.
Nose – bold, dark fruits with almond notes.
Palate – rich, fruity and jammy with clear juniper/gin notes
Finish – dry and warming
Sweetness – low sweetness
Botanicals
Juniper, coriander, angelica, orris & bay with six botanicals foraged from the farm and local hedgerows: crab apple, rosehip, elderflower, nettle leaf & wildflower meadow hay. Stones from the spent fruit from our sloe gin.

Serve neat. Or, for a low alcohol. fruity G&T add a measure of Damson Gin and top up with lemon tonic or bitter lemon.
